Each HALL team is encouraged to have a safety/first aid representative whose primary function is to assist during games (and practices if they are around) with any injuries, bumps, bruises, or other accidents. This way the coaches can continue to coach while the player is getting the help he/she needs. The rep can also help enforce safety rules, such as no seeds, use of heart guard (for pitching levels), proper helmet, no swinging/holding bats in the dugout, etc.
The team's representative will be required to attend an online safety training course (unless already works in a medical profession). Training is provided through the USA Baseball "A" Certification program. Contact the Safety Coordinator for more information.
ATTENTION HALL MANAGERS and COACHES:
REQUIRED TRAINING - All HALL Managers and Coaches are required to complete the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on-line Concussion Training Program.

Please email your name and email address to Shawn Larkin at safety@hopkinslittleleague.com. A follow-up email will be sent to you asking to fill out the background application online. Please note that you will have 14 days to complete the application.
Notification of a claim for an eligible member under the league’s Accident Insurance should be filed with Little League International within 20 days of the incident. Once we receive the complete claim form, the claimant will be assigned a claim number for any information that is submitted for the accident. The claim form should be submitted as soon as possible so we can begin a record of the accident and then the claimant can submit all itemized bills (includes procedure and diagnosis codes) from the medical providers as well as any primary insurance explanation of benefits (if applicable) for any treatments for the accident. Click HERE on how to submit an Accident Insurance Claim.
