Player Development


Registration for our 2019 Summer Baseball Camp is now open! Join us for our annual HALL Summer Baseball Camp, hosted by Pine Tar Academy. Pine Tar instructors will work on offensive and defensive skills with the players the first 3 days and camp will conclude with live "game day" on the last day.

WHEN: June 10th - 13th, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm each day

WHERE: Maetzold Field (Note: In case of inclement weather, attempts will be made to find an alternate location.)

WHO: Hopkins Area Little League players ages 8 thru 12.

HOW: Sign up by completing the online registration process.  Registration deadline is June 3rd.

Cost $50.00 (There is a $10 discount, if you register by Sunday, May 19th)

Cost includes a hot dog, a bag of chips and a soda for each player at the end of each day.

Junior Develolpment Program

Don't forget about the HALL Junior Development Program!  This program is intended to encourage baseball "practice" or just activity outside of HALL scheduled and coordinated practices and games for our T-ball, Minors C, and Minors B level palyers.  Track the time your player plays catch with mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, brother, sister;  plays sandlot with his or her friends;  practices running the bases in the back yard; etc.

Use the Tracking Sheet to track hours and turn in completed sheets to your team manager.  All sheet must be turned in by June 11th for player rewards.

Minnesota Twins Summer Camp

The Minnesota Twins offer 3-day summer camps for 8-13 year olds.  This year, camps are being held in Woodbury, Anoka, and Eden Prairie.

2016 Hopkins HS Summer Baseball Camps

Hopkins High School is again offering a variety of summer camps.  Camps are all held at Hopkins North Jr. High baseball field.  Camp options include:

Pitching, Throwing & Defensive Camp ($90).  6th-10th graders.  June 14-16, 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Hitting & Offensive Skills Camp ($90).  6th-10th graders.  June 14-17, 12:00-3:00 p.m.

Rookie Camp ($120).  2nd-5th graders.  June 20-23, 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Junior Camp ($120).  6th-10th graders. June 20-23, 12:00-3:00 p.m.

There are several local clinics and camps that provide a chance for your player to knock off the winter rust and begin conditioning for the coming baseball season.  If your player has an interest, check out the following program offerings:

CRF Sports Academy

CRF Sports Academy is a local sports training facility offering a variety of functional and sports specific training opportunities for both individuals and groups.  Check out the website for more information:


Pine Tar Academy

A local baseball academy and supporter of HALL, Pine Tar Academy offers a variety of off-season work-out options including Friday Night Fever;  Hitting, Pitching, and Fielding Clinics for ages 7-13;  Private Lessons;  and Batting Cages at Williston Fitness Center.

Hitting, Pitching, and Fielding Clinics begin the week of 1/11/16 and spots fill up fast.  Friday Night Fever begins on January 8th.


US Baseball Academy

The nations largest baseball academy, US Baseball Academy offers "a national program with a local touch".  This year, USBA will be holding a clinic at Hit Dawg in Chaska.  The Chaska Clinics begin on Saturday, January 9th.  Registration deadline is January 3rd according to the website, but you can contact them for more information.

USBA will also be holding clinics at DeLaSalle High School starting on February 14th, and Coon Rapids High School starting February 7th.  Information on the other clinics is available at:


Players Only

Located in Eden Prairie, Players Only is another local baseball training and instruction organization.  They offer a variety of group and individual clinics and training programs.  Check out their website for more information and details on upcoming programs:
